Layered Die Cuts for a Swirly Valentine Card

Autumn with you today to share a fun layered card using our lovely Swirly Love sentiment die.  What a gorgeous, ornate die, perfectly sized for cardmaking and more!

I had a couple of 6x6" papers from an old and loved Basic Grey collection, but not enough to coordinate many layers, so I used a basic oval die to cut out my back basic shape layer, then stamped and embossed the back layer with dots.  I edged the oval with gold and raised it up higher than the background, giving the appearance of three different papers.  What a fun trick!  I cut Swirly Love from the cream distressed paper in the stash and bumped it up even more.  It is so pretty and didn't need any fussing over, the contrast speaks for itself.
