Vintage Car 4th of July Independence Day Card

Hello and happy 4th of July to you!  This card came about by chance and I was so pleased.  I was hunting through my paper stash and started off with this Authentique plaid paper, then thumbed through my Tim Holtz Paper Stash and came across these mail images.  Now, my husband is a mailman, so I decided to create a vintage "mail car" inspired design for him.  I hope to plant a big bill inside and surprise him with a fireworks budget - lol!  That is his favorite thing and this year he thinks we aren't going to shoot any...

I cut two images so that I could have the decorative side panel recessed.  I like that this gives a stronger silhouette without loosing any detail.  I carefully layered my papers to show off particular parts of the design.  I added a sticker sentiment, raised the red label, then finished with a loopy bow topped with a star charm.  I hope you like it!  Our Vintage Car die is so versatile and will work with any occasion, so do check it out.
