Die Shapes, Color, and Washi Tapes Cards of Encouragement

Hello everyone! Jenn here sharing some fun cards using Die Shapes, Color, and Washi Tapes!

This week I wanted to try something a bit different. I have seen washi tape techniques such as this and I just love the result. The amazing Tutti Designs Dies cut very well through the washi and paper with precision and detail.
I used these two staple die sets:

Other supplies needed:
Colorful washi tapes
Colorful coordinating card stocks
Stamps
Rub-ons (Jane Davenport)
(I have used Dina Wakely and Jane Davenport collections of stamps and washi)
These cards both measure 5 X 6
Start by adhering strips of washi tapes on cardstock.
Next I used the second largest cross stitched circle die to cut.

For the first card I used a black card base and cut the largest cross stitched circle from a pink card stock. Adhere the washi circle to the pink circle. I used some rub-ons on card stock and fussy cut them. I adhered a couple of strips of black and white washi and then the circle dies. Next I added the fussy cuts using foam adhesive to lift them up. I cut two cross stitched oval dies from black and pink card stocks, adhered them to the card and stamped my sentiment.
Here is close up showing the amazing detail achieved with these dies.
For the inside I cut another of the largest cross stitched circles in white and left it blank to be written on. A small rub on was added.

Repeat the washi strips on paper technique for the second card and use the second largest cross stitched circle die to cut it out. Cut one of the largest cross stitched circles from a bright blue card stock and adhere these together.  This card is a white base and was first stamped with some heart stamps for a bit more background. For this card I stamped the girl image, watercolored it and fussy cut it, then adhered it to the card using foam adhesive squares to lift it up. I cut two smaller cross stitched circles using white and blue cardstocks. These were adhered together, stamped with a sentiment and then added to the card using foam adhesive squares. I added a strip of washi to the bottom and inked the card edges in blue distress ink.

Here is a close up of the dies on this card.

For the inside of card 2 I cut a large cross stitched circle from the same bright blue.
