Living Life to the Beat of a Different Drum . . .

Welcome back to the Tutti Designs Blog!
Darlene with you today sharing another musical creation!
OMG this June release has been so much fun to create with ... especially if you have musically inclined people in your life.  There was always music around our house growing up but with only 3 girls in the family (until brother was born when I was 15) there were no drum sets ... mainly piano, clarinet ... you know the 'softer side' of things.  LOL
But then I remember my younger sister's boyfriend came into the picture and he was a drummer!
OH MAN could he make happy music with those drum sticks!

So today I was thinking of him while creating this card.
Do I ever see this young man you ask?  Oh Yes!  He's been married to my younger sister for 43 years!  Yep, high school sweethearts who have been together ever since!  But sadly he gave up his drum set some 20 years ago.

Is there a drummer in your family?
If so, you NEED this die and here the link where you can get it!

No automatic alt text available.

I chose to die cut my drum set from Silver Metallic paper.  It only seemed fitting!
My card is relatively simple in design because I wanted the drums to 'shine'! (lol excuse the pun)
A little faux stitching around the outside edge of my drum set panel also brings nice focus to this fun die cut.

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store and check out all of the fabulous dies in this latest release.  And, of course, you'll want to browse through the store to see what other dies you need to have on hand.

Nativity Fun!

Hi Tutti fans! Simply Monica back with another Saturday project along with a Tutti Tip (TT).  Today  I am sharing a Christmas in July card using  TUTTI-357 Holy Nativity die.

I used some older paper I had from Little Yellow Bicycle I love the strong bold colors of this set.  So, I thought it was perfect for the card.  I have fallen in love with using foam as a backing for my dies to add dimension.

Simply adhere the cardstock to the foam.  Trust me you will want to do this every time you want some dimension.

Finish your card for a gorgeous look!

I hope everyone enjoyed my post and thanks for stopping by!!

Tutti Tip: diecut the die against some foam this gives you the dimension you want without needing foam tape. This also, gives height evenly versus seeing open spaces where there may be no foam tape.

Christmas Angel

Hi friends!  Today I'm sharing a project using dies by Tutti Designs!  Tutti Designs has been busy creating away so many fabulous new dies so be sure to stop by the store and check out the new
It's Christmas in July and Tutti Designs just released a huge release Christmas dies!  If you're already making your Christmas card be sure to pick up up some of these beautiful intricut dies!  Tutti Designs has some of the best dies around so be sure to check them out in the store!

To make this card I used the new Tutti Designs Framed Angel Die. I cut all the die cut from white card stock and  adhered it to Silver Glitter Card stock.
I stamped my sentiment onto a strip of clear velum add then heat embossed it with Silver embossing powder.
The strip is approximately 2 inches x 8.5 inches.  Stamp the sentiment in the middle and when it has cooled and set wrap it around the bottom of the die cut and adhere to the back.  Now adhere it to the card base using foam tape along the edges.

Add a bow and flower and you have a fast and beautiful Christmas Card.

Tutti Designs dies are just so intricate and beautiful! There is new releases available in the store so keep watching because there is MORE TO COME so keep checking back daily!

Giving cards is one of the most personal, thoughtful and encouraging things you can do for a friend or loved one.  All too often people send a text or use social media to send sentiments to people who sometimes could use a little more personal encouragement.

The smile on a friend or family members face is worth it!

Happy Birthday Violin

Good Morning!
Donna Phelan back again.  Today I will be sharing a Masculine Birthday card with you.
The Tutti Designs Store has so many wonderful dies for all of your card making needs!  This month we are enjoying Musical Instruments, check out the June Release!  So many instruments and each and every one amazingly detailed!
Here's the great die I chose to use for today!
I die cut this fantastic Violin from Chipboard and Brown card stock, layered the 2 together and then backed with a piece of White card stock so the details would show through.  I then smooshed Versa Mark ink all over the front of the cut, covered it with Clear Embossing Powder, heated it to seal, and now I had an awesome shiny, glossy Chipboard die cut to play with!

I thought to show off this wonderful instrument I would create a wood grained background.  Taking my White card stock I scored every 1/2 inch.  Then using many inks I just swiped them up and down the scored paper until I got the look I liked.  I think the background really compliments the wooden Violin.  Stamped some musical notes and my Happy Birthday sentiment in Raven Black, which I also covered and heated with Clear Embossing Powder, to add some shine.  And why place the panel on straight when you can add a jaunty look to it and make it all wonky???
Everyday you will find new and creative ideas right here, on the Tutti Designs Blog!

Tropical Beach Themed Sunglasses Card

Hello and happy summer to you!  Autumn with you today to share a variation from my first card with our Mr. Set dies.  Click HERE to see my masculine, steampunk father's day card using this set.  I was anxious to try out the sunglasses and this designer paper gave me just the inspiration.

I cut the sunglasses from watercolor paper and then cut another layer from thin chipboard to make a sturdy embellishment.  I adhered vellum behind the cutouts, which you could tint with inks if you like.  I chose the crisp white for my beach themed card.

I layered several cutouts from the paper to form my collage.  A folded flower sticks in for dimension.  The card is quite dimensional, but relatively flat for mailing.  I hope you like it!

Purchase your Mr. Set dies HERE today for your summer and masculine projects.

Hello, friends!

It's Nancy here with a new Tutti Designs share!

Today is actually my sweet husband's birthday,
and this is the card that I made him for the occasion!

This is using the fabulous Tools Die from Tutti Designs.
You can find it HERE.
I simply positioned the dies on the kraft and ran it through my big shot.
I wrapped the twine around the bottom,
and then adhered it to the black card base.
Finally, I added the "You are my hero" stamp.
My husband is my hero in many ways,
but with tools is definitely one of them! :o)

Here's a closer look at the detail of the cuts:

There are so many dies here to have fun with!
The options are endless!
