Winter Wonderland

Hello Tutti Designs Fans!
Darlene here today filling in for team mate Nancy who is under the weather.  We wish her a speedy recovery and expect she'll be back next Monday with a new, fabulous creation to share.

My card today was a quick and easy put together, but I LOVE the end result!
It's Christmas in July at the Tutti Designs Store and their July Release is jam packed full of awesome holiday dies!  You'll want to be sure to pop over and make your purchase early before they run out!

The die I've used on today card is called Winter Scene (#352)

No automatic alt text available.

There are so many things I can think to do with this beautiful die but since I was short on time, I decided to use the technique I'm kind of 'hooked' on at the moment!  And, that is to die cut multiple time and glue together to create a 'chipboard' appearance and wonderful dimension.

Here's how I did it ...

Step 1:  I found the background decorative paper I wanted to use ... in this case, a pretty, snowy paper and cut it an 1/8" smaller than my card front (my card is A6 in size).    The I cut a white card stock panel that fit side to side on my decorative paper but shorter leaving room for a sentiment or in my case ... snowy tree trio.

Step 2:  Die cut my 'Winter Scene' from the white card stock panel but keep the 'negative' portion to reset my 'stacked' die cut back into.  From scraps of white card stock, I cut out 4 more Winter Scene panels.

Step 3:   Glue each of the 5 die cut panels, one atop the other.  Then glue your stacked winters scene back into the negative panel.  Blue sequins and a die cut tree trio were added as embellishments.    Viola!  This card is ready for mailing.

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store and check out all of the fabulous dies in this latest release.  And, of course, you'll want to browse through the store to see what other dies you need to have on hand.

Noel

Happy Sunday All!

It's Christmas in July at the Tutti Designs Store and their July Release is jam packed full of awesome holiday dies!  You'll want to be sure to pop over and make your purchase early before they run out!

Darlene with you today and my card showcases two dies from this current release and one die from last July's release (MORE holiday goodness!).

The dies used today are:

It only takes a few EXTRA steps to make your card extra special.
They always say the 'little details' make the biggest difference.
Here are a few of the little extras I did today.

First of all, I knew I wanted to add extra dimension but not so much that the postage would be extra.

In order to accomplish this, I simply die cut my Winter House THREE times and glued them together.

This technique is SO EASY yet adds that 'little something'!

Secondly, I die cut the corner bells from bronze foil card stock.  I know it's difficult to see in the photo but it really adds that extra holiday sparkle & shine to my card.  AND, if you notice, the corner die has a ROUNDED corner.  So to add another 'little something', I used a corner rounder from Creative Memories to cut my background paper as well as my actual white card base.  I left the remaining corners square.

And lastly, another touch of sparkle was needed so I dusted off my Stickles and got busy decorating the trees on either side of the Winter House.

By having the extra dimension of the 'stacked' houses, this gave me a nice 'well' to fill.  I've used red, green and gold.

OH and did you notice the little star on my Noel word sentiment?  It happened to still be stuck to the back of my corner bells and of course when it fell onto my table, it just begged to be used ... so I did!  LOL

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store and check out all of the fabulous dies in this latest release.  And, of course, you'll want to browse through the store to see what other dies you need to have on hand.

Holly vs Bat

Hi Tutti fans! Simply Monica back with another Saturday project along with a Tutti Tip (TT).  I am using Fancy Holly TUTTI-370 for today's project.

Being creative and stepping outside the box is what today's project is about.  I used my Fancy Holly to create some Furry Bats!

Simply diecut your Fancy Holly using felt and pop on the eyeballs.  I then created some simple treat bags by folding my cardstock and adding some Halloween patterned paper.

Below is my completed project and I hope everyone enjoyed my post for the day!

A Song In My Heart

Good Morning!
Donna Phelan back again.  One more card using a fabulous Musical Instrument from the June Release.  So many choices, you need to get yourself over to the Tutti Designs Store.  So many wonderful dies for all of your card making needs!
Today I have used this Tutti Designs die, I think it is one of my favorites!

This time around I cut my Piano out from Black Glitter Paper and backed it with White Glitter Paper and Gold Foiled Toner Paper.  Every little detail POPS!  I also cut it from a piece of Chipboard and adhered them all together.   Once again making a nice sturdy Chipboard piece.  Love that!

My Musical Note Designer Paper became the perfect backdrop for the gorgeous Piano as well as for my perfectly worded sentiment.  A bit of Sheer Pink Ribbon and a Pink Heart stamp to complete my look.

Quick.

Easy.

Beautiful.

Holiday Wreath Die Cut Christmas Cards

Hello Tutti fans!  Autumn with you today sharing the first of many projects with our fabulous new range of Christmas dies.  My absolute favorite is this Holiday Wreath!  It is splendid!

I am not one to create out of season, so to get in the mood I decided to make a big old inky mess - which I love to do all year long!  LOL!  I used my Distress Inks to create some stamped and stenciled background elements.  Of course, you could easily CASE this idea with patterned paper - in fact I just may do that myself when I'm down the wire and need to push out a batch of holiday cards in December.  :)

I dipped my wreath dies (cut from watercolor stock) in the same green DI.  The sentiment is an oldie but goodie and has a partner that reads, "the Lord is come!" which I stamped on the inside of my cards.  I added a loopy bow, just like any good wreath would have.  I hope you like it and are inspired to do a little shopping and cardmaking today.

You Inspire Me

Hello, friends!

It's Nancy here with a new Tutti Designs share!

Today I have combined three dies but I'm featuring the Musical Stave Die,
which you can find HERE.
I love this die!
There's something about it that makes me want to add it to everything! lol

I began with a white card base.
I added a layer of blue.
Next came the largest of the Nesting Stitched Rectangles die, of patterned paper.
I added this piece with foam tape.
I cut the Nesting Stitched Oval out of white cardstock,
added the sentiment, and adhered it to the center of the rectangle.
Finally, I cut the Music Stave from the same blue,
and adhered it in place over the oval.

Then I just added a sparkly ribbon bow to the top.

Here's a closer look at the detail in the great die:

One last look at the finished card:

Living Life to the Beat of a Different Drum . . .

Welcome back to the Tutti Designs Blog!
Darlene with you today sharing another musical creation!
OMG this June release has been so much fun to create with ... especially if you have musically inclined people in your life.  There was always music around our house growing up but with only 3 girls in the family (until brother was born when I was 15) there were no drum sets ... mainly piano, clarinet ... you know the 'softer side' of things.  LOL
But then I remember my younger sister's boyfriend came into the picture and he was a drummer!
OH MAN could he make happy music with those drum sticks!

So today I was thinking of him while creating this card.
Do I ever see this young man you ask?  Oh Yes!  He's been married to my younger sister for 43 years!  Yep, high school sweethearts who have been together ever since!  But sadly he gave up his drum set some 20 years ago.

Is there a drummer in your family?
If so, you NEED this die and here the link where you can get it!

No automatic alt text available.

I chose to die cut my drum set from Silver Metallic paper.  It only seemed fitting!
My card is relatively simple in design because I wanted the drums to 'shine'! (lol excuse the pun)
A little faux stitching around the outside edge of my drum set panel also brings nice focus to this fun die cut.

Please be sure to pop over to the Tutti Designs Store and check out all of the fabulous dies in this latest release.  And, of course, you'll want to browse through the store to see what other dies you need to have on hand.

Nativity Fun!

Hi Tutti fans! Simply Monica back with another Saturday project along with a Tutti Tip (TT).  Today  I am sharing a Christmas in July card using  TUTTI-357 Holy Nativity die.

I used some older paper I had from Little Yellow Bicycle I love the strong bold colors of this set.  So, I thought it was perfect for the card.  I have fallen in love with using foam as a backing for my dies to add dimension.

Simply adhere the cardstock to the foam.  Trust me you will want to do this every time you want some dimension.

Finish your card for a gorgeous look!

I hope everyone enjoyed my post and thanks for stopping by!!

Tutti Tip: diecut the die against some foam this gives you the dimension you want without needing foam tape. This also, gives height evenly versus seeing open spaces where there may be no foam tape.
