For this card I have used the following dies:
To create this card cut the following pieces
Black heavy card stock for base. My card measures 4" X 7 1/2" which was made by cutting an 8 1/2" X 11" sheet down to 8" X 7 1/2" scoring down the middle, folding and burnishing.
For the inside:
From a music themed designer paper collection - 3 7/8" X 7 5/8"
White card stock - 3 1/2" X 6 3/4"
both were inked around the edges using Distress Oxide in faded jeans.
Adhere as shown above using adhesive of your choice.
For the card front:
From black card stock - 2 of the lotus blossom dies
Use the same music themed designer paper to cut two dotted nesting rectangles - One of these will be cut down to create a full front piece. The cut line is disguised behind the circle and floral focal points.
Cut one cross stitched nesting circle die from black card stock and the next size down use to cut the sentiment from the paper collection. For my circles I used these 2 sizes:
2.80 and 2.40.
White card stock mat - 3 7/8" X 7 3/8"
Grey card stock mat - 3 3/4" X 7 1/4"
Ink the edges and adhere them together on to the card front starting with the white mat, followed by the grey mat, and finally the music die cut rectangles.
Next adhere the lotus blossom die cuts to the top left and bottom right corners as shown. Use foam adhesive squares or circles to adhere the sentiment die cut circle to the black one and then adhere to the card using foam adhesive as well. This will give some dimension to the card.
Add flowers and a bit of white paint splattering.
I just love the amazing detail achieved from these dies!
