Wine Bottle Tag

Anne here today and I'd like to share a tag that I created for a bottle of wine that was being given as a gift.

I used the Tutti Designs Cross Stitch Tags to create my wine bottle tag.

Cross Stitch Tags

I started out by searching for some free clip art featuring a cluster of grapes. (For some unknown reason, I didn't have a stamp with this image. 😮)  Once I found what I had in mind, I then used a photo editing software to colorize the black and white image.  I've used digital images for quite some time now, but I've always printed them out and then colored them by hand.  This is the first time that I tried to add color and texture and shading within a software program.  I was quite happy with the results.

Once the grape cluster was completed, I added some digital paper for the background and printed everything out.

Next, I used the largest die in the Cross Stitch Tag set to cut out the image.

I added some glitter to the grapes and also created a matching piece of glitter ribbon to tie the tag onto the bottle.  If you've not created one before, it's quite easy.  Take a piece of double sided tape (whatever width you would like) and cut it to the length you want.  Add glitter to the first side, making sure to burnish it into the adhesive with your finger.  Then remove the backing paper from the other side and repeat the process.  Now you can create your own glitter ribbon and coordinate it to your project.😊

On the back side of the tag, I added my sentiment and a few more smaller stickers having to do with wine.
