Opposites Attract Innie and Outie Heart Cards

Autumn here with you today to share a fun little tutorial on creating two cards, each the reverse of the other.  I've shown two sizes so you can see how beautifully the new Love Butterfly Frame die fits onto your choice of card base.

I sprayed a bit of red Lindy's Stamp Gang spray onto my craft mat, then dipped my first die cut into the ink, covering completely.  Next I spritzed water onto the leftover red ink and dipped my square panel into it to mop up the excess ink.  When this was dry, I cut another heart from the center.  I took a square card base (made from watercolor paper) and brushed grey watercolor stripes onto the center.  I lined up the red heart in the pink hole and layered all together, using the Hello Word Set and a sticker to accent.  Some splashes of watery gesso and grey watercolor, with some random stamping complete the card.

I was left with a beautiful pink heart (from the square background panel) and a white center (from when I cut the red heart).  I layered these two and mounted over another painted striped panel, this time using Deco Sheets for the Hello die and mat.  These two cards are quick and easy to make.  I hope they are an inspiration to you!

You will love working with these amazing dies, purchase yours today!

  4. I love how you colored your die cuts, Autumn, they look fabulous! Both are beautiful, but my favorite is the top one - love your background and how the die turned out with the Lindy's. You make it all look so easy :-) Awesome, as always, Autumn!
