Winter Wood and Deer Mixed Media Card

Autumn with you today to share a wintry scene featuring our lovely Arched Fir Branch die.  What a gorgeous, rustic and elegant die this is!

I dipped two of the branch cuts into Distress Inks to create a frame of sorts.  I dabbed up the remaining ink and cut a circle from our Nesting Stitched Circles to stamp my sentiment.  I colored and fussy cut the deer with the same colors of ink.

I used texture paste through a handmade stencil for my background.  I layered a doily to break up the repetitive color.

I stamped text along the bottom to create a ground.  I applied a strip of tape across the bottom and wadded my hand dyed ribbon onto it.  What fun!

Purchase your Arched Fir Branch die today!

And for sure, you will need the Nesting Stitched Circles while you're shopping!

  1. This is beautiful Autumn. The arched fir branches make the perfect 'frame'. Your doily reminds me of the sun coming up behind the tree line... and the deer out for an early walk! Just beautiful.j.
