Autumn with you today to share a lovely coffee themed creation in celebration of the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. I absolutely love the versatility of the Nesting Stitched Circle dies. I created an inky background with Infusions pigment powders and stamped a coffee cup onto it and was able to center it perfectly in one of the circle dies and cut it out. What a great finishing edge!
I stamped text randomly onto patterned paper and splashed with Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink. I used a stamp for the faux stitching. The distressed edges add to the illusion.
I layered my cup with purchased flowers over our fabulous Flower Orchestra Corner die. I've said it before and I will say it again, this die is perfect for peeking out beneath bundles of stamped goodness and flowers! :) My base is a library card inked with more DOX ink. The sentiment strip is chipboard. I really enjoy making these loose mixed media projects. I hope you are inspired today. Thanks for your visit! <3

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Autumn, and I love that little cup sitting perfectly on the stitched circle. The layers are awesome and your stamped stitches always look real (can't wait to try my stamps out). I agree with you about that die - it is perfect for peeking out. Beautiful - hugs!!
