Hello everyone! Jenn here today sharing a fun card I created for my husband in honor of Father's Day!
My husband and I have this little rant every day saying "Love you more" back and forth until one of gives up...lol. Between us we have 5 children and 5 grandchildren and I wanted to honor him on Father's Day with a non-traditional card!
I used several amazing Tutti Designs Dies here.
The paper used is from The Rugged collection by Authentique.
This is a fairly simple design and the following cuts are needed:
Base Card from Ivory card stock measures 4 1/2" X 6"
Grey card stock - 2 at 4 5/8" X 5 5/8"
For these two I embossed the corners of one with a gears embossing folder by Tim Holtz/Sizzix and the other with a car embossing folder by the same.
Plaid designer paper - Dotted Nesting Rectangle Die - largest from set (4.625" x 3.375")
Maroon card stock - Dotted Nesting Rectangle Die - Next size down (4.25" x 3.00")
Car cut away from designer paper- Dotted nesting Rectangle Die - next size down (3.875" x 2.625")
Ivory card stock - Dotted Nesting Rectangle Die - 2.00" x 0.75"
Ivory card Stock previously embossed with same gear embossing folder from above - Cross Stitch Nesting Circle Die - second largest from set (4.40")
Use a leftover half inch strip of the cut maroon card stock for the stripe under die cuts on the front.
Stamp a sentiment onto the small rectangle die cut.
Adhere as follows beginning with the inside of the card.
Grey car embossed paper and then the Circle die cut. This is where a note can be written and is therefore left blank.
For the Front:
Start by adhering the embossed grey. Place the maroon strip across the middle to create the stripe. Place the plaid die cut rectangle onto a piece of scrap cardboard to lift it up. adhere the maroon die cut rectangle to it. Use foam adhesive to adhere the car die cut and sentiment.
And there you have it! A fun masculine card in honor of Father's Day! You could use it for any occasion really!
