"O Holy Night"

Happy Monday Tutti friends and Merry Christmas to all of those that celebrate!

Vicki here sharing inspiration with you on this Christmas morning...

Since it's Christmas day, I wanted to share a project that represents the "reason for the season".  This Photoplay paper collection, Luke 2, was perfect for this 6" x 6" card.  The base is a deep wine red layered with white and patterned paper.  The focal point of the card, the Nativity Shooting Star is cut from gold glitter paper and layered over two circles cut using the Nesting Dotted Circles die.

I wanted to highlight the town of Bethlehem image in the center of the patterned paper and decided on a star shaped frame.  The frame was created using two Nesting Stitched Star dies, progressive in size, cut at the same time.  Since I don't have a magnetic platform, I used tacky tape to hold the dies in place.  They created a perfect frame. I saved the smaller star for later use.

I adhered the star frame around the town image and layered the Nativity Shooting Star featuring the Nativity and Three Kings over it.  I saved the tiny gold stars cut from the shooting star and used them to embellish around the star frame.   I also cut a few smaller stars and placed them randomly around the focal point.

In this close up, you can see the beautiful design of the Nesting Dotted Circles along with the Nesting Stitched Star and the Nativity Shooting Star.

The background paper was better than adding a sentiment!
