Hello everyone! Jenn here today sharing my first card for 2019! A Valentine of course!
This was a very fun card to create. Some amazing Tutti Designs Dies were the perfect choice. The papers used are the February portion of Graphic 45 Children's Hour.
To create this card the following cuts were made first:
Black Cardstock 8 1/2 X 11 - cut to 10 X 7 scored at 5 and folded to create base card that measures 5 X 7 also using black, cut one cross stitched nesting oval (2nd largest), a piece that is 3 3/4 X 5 (corners punched) and a small dotted nesting rectangle for the sentiment on front.
Ivory cardstock - cut one cross stitched nesting oval die cut (largest) and one piece that measures 4 3/4 X 6 3/4 (I used a fancy corner punch on mine and inked all edges in black)
Red Patterned Designer paper - cut two pieces to 4 1/2 X 6 1/2 for the inside and front.
Cut two Fall Flourish Die Cuts from green cardstock.
Use the third largest cross stitched nesting oval die to cut a photo from designer paper cut-outs.
Use the largest dotted nesting rectangle die to cut out one of the journaling cards with lines from the designer papers.
All of my cuts except those in black cardstock are inked with black on all edges.
On to assembly!
Start with the inside of the card and layer as shown below.
For the front of the card:
Layer the Ivory followed by the patterned. Add the ovals layering the green flourishes in between cardboard and die cuts. (cardboard was applied to back of the ovals for dimension). Add a border from scraps of designer paper. Add flowers and use a foam adhesive square to adhere the sentiment.
Finally cut two black paper doilies and apply a small amount of glue to the backs. Tuck under and around the Oval and flourish. Because they are round they will naturally ruffle adding a lacey look!
Here is a close view of the amazing details achieved with these dies!
I hope you have had a wonderful Holiday Season!!
